Lingayas Vidyapeeth is a deemed University. It was established in 2009 and located at Faridabad, Haryana. The University operates its PhD Programme on the lines of the UGC guidelines from time to time. The details of the specializations and duration for every course are provided in the below sections.

Eligibility Criteria
NOTE- There may additional requirements by the individual Departments/Schools to cater to the specific needs which shall be notified in the advertisements from time to time.
Course Duration
PhD programme shall be for a minimum duration of three years, and maximum of six years including course work. However, Honorable Vice Chancellor of the University may extend the duration by one additional year, based on the justification.
PhD Admission Process
PhD admission shall be done twice a year in an academic year viz July and January on the basis of a written test followed by interview. The exact dates for the same shall be notified on the Website of the University. Interested candidates shall apply against the advertisements in the prescribed application forms available from the University and on the website from time to time.
Entrance Test Format
The Entrance Test shall be a qualifying test with qualifying marks of minimum 50%. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of
research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific.
Selection Procedure
A merit list will be prepared Department wise for admission based on the performance in the Entrance Test and Interview or Interview for candidates who have been exempted from the Entrance Test.

Exemption from Entrance test
Candidates who have qualified in UGC/ CSIR (JRF) Examination/ SLET/ GATE / M .Phil (As a Regular Candidate from UGC Recognized University for admission to non-engineering disciplines), may not be required to appear for Entrance Test of the University. However, their appearance in the interview shall be mandatory for admission for such category candidates.
